Presents the methodology, findings and recommendations of a research project carried out by Carnarvon Women’s Refuge which evaluated the effectiveness of existing domestic violence services aimed at early intervention and/or prevention. A background to the work of the Refuge and the Carnarvon region is provided and the principles of good practice adopted for the purpose of the study are identified. Results from the survey conducted are then analysed in order to develop a series of recommendations, the implementation of which would ensure compliance with service objectives and good practice standards.en
