Outlines some of the problems encountered and key issues emerging from the implementation of the NSW Police Service Aboriginal Strategic Plan, specifically as it related to domestic violence and other offences. Interviews with Indigenous community members and police revealed a number of gaps in service delivery and the need for a range of improvements to training, support, coordination and education. Examples of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ practice are used to illustrate the key issues and a series of recommendations based on the findings is presented.en
