Presents the work of the Port Youth Theatre in developing workshops specifically for Indigenous children who had witnessed violence in their home, school or community. Gives details of the pilot project and the two series of subsequent workshops that employed Aboriginal workers to mentor the children and to assist the specialist tutors. Also describes the ‘YIPTI’ resource kit, produced in conjunction with an Aboriginal group receiving Partnerships Against Domestic Violence:funding and including 4 booklets in several Indigenous languages, a 19-minute video and workbook for use by teachers and group facilitators.
