Notes:  Provides an overview of the development and stages of implementation of DVFREE, a workplace violence prevention programme currently being piloted in six worksites in Auckland, New Zealand. The programme definition of ‘workplace violence’ encompasses, inter alia, sexual harassment and violence committed against employees by a domestic abuser or other person known to the victim. Some of the challenges associated with engaging with corporate and/business institutions are discussed and strategies adopted by the programme for addressing these issues are outlined. Concludes that the success of the programme thus far represents a significant step towards enhancing partnerships between social activist and corporate management networks.
