Discusses a research project aimed at improving youth worker intervention for young women experiencing family violence. Youth workers are sometimes limited by training, or perceptions of ability in dealing with suspicions of family abuse. This paper looks at a study which highlights the difficulty young women have in disclosing violence experienced at home, and explores what youth workers could do to support young women in this situation.
