Proceedings of a conference organised with the purpose of facilitating positive changes in the area of service provision to NESB women who are the victims of violence. Specifically the aims of the conference were: to provide an overview of the issues; present information about policies and practices currently being undertaken to meet the needs of NESB women and children subjected to violence; promote discussion of how notions of ethnicity, race, culture and other forms of identity are defined and applied when considering domestic violence and sexual assault; and develop a comprehensive and responsive Strategy on violence against women.
