"The review focuses on the studies that have been conducted on domestic violence in
Australian context. It also includes some local or national projects and reports undertaken by
government departments or non-government agencies. The findings of the research and
reports comprises some common themes such as challenges and barriers faced by CALD
women to accessing services, the perception of domestic violence among different ethnic
communities, gender roles, seeking help and some recommendations offered by the research
and projects which have been discussed in detail."
