General Overview:This summary of a much larger report, “Explaining the prevalence, context, and consequences of dual arrest in intimate partner cases”, discusses the problems inherent in dual arrest policing practice. Several solutions are suggested which would lower dual arrest rates while increasing conviction rates. New policies and enhanced police training are also proposed which would lead to more effective use of justice system resources.
