Notes:	General Overview: :This Canadian report uses a literature review and the words of children to explain how children experience domestic violence and what interventions may be effective. The impact of domestic violence is considered regarding the pre-natal stage, infants and toddlers, pre-schoolers, school-aged children and adolescents. The sections discuss the hypothetical impact on children’s development, their coping strategies and outlines implications for intervention. The authors express concern that there is not sufficient evaluation of intervention strategies and that risk assessment models are promoting a “one size fits all” approach to children exposed to domestic violence. The report provides some basic principles for assessment and intervention.
