This is a self-paced online domestic violence training programme for social work students, provided by the Simmons School of Social Work, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The programme has 8 units. The first 7 units consist of text, divided into short topics. The learner can move through the topics in each unit by clicking on ‘Next’. At the end of each of the first 7 units, there is a quiz. Unit 1 looks at definitions and prevalence of domestic violence. Unit 2 focuses on interviewing and screening. Legal aspects are given in Unit 3. This is followed by risk assessment and providing options for safety in Unit 4. Unit 5 contains resources and referrals. Children and domestic violence are covered in Unit 6, while Unit 7 deals with perpetrators. Unit 8 contains vignettes about which the students are asked for their thoughts. A pre-test list of questions is also available.
