Provides a background to and overview of a consensus-driven quality assessment tool for the evaluation of hospital-based domestic violence programmes, developed by the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, a part of the Department of Health & Human Services. Suggestions for when to use the tool and some guidelines for implementing the assessment are provided, along with more specific instructions and interpretations. An explanation of scoring procedures is also included. The evaluation tool itself may be downloaded separately.
