Notes:  These guidelines are a revised version of the 2009 ‘Best practice principles for use in parenting disputes when family violence or abuse is alleged’ originally released by the Family Court of Australia. The guidelines have been updated and expanded to include the processes of the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia and provide information useful to decision makers, legal practitioners, judicial officers and families.
