dc.description.notes | For more information see "Living Without Violence Community Arts Project (NSW)" on our Good Practice database.<br/ >Living Without Violence 2000 is an art exhibition by women of Western Sydney. LWV-2000 involved the participation of over 40 women artists challenging issues of violence against women though their art works. LWV-2000 created a platform for women to raise community awareness and understanding of women's right to 'live without violence' while also providing the opportunity to develop their artistic practice and to exhibit their art in a professional environment. The film documents the exhibition and the launch, including interviews with some of the artists and project co-ordinators. This film may be used in groups and in training to facilitate discussion about issues of violence against women . It any also be used to illustrate the role of community cultural development in challenging community attitudes. | en |
