Abstract:  This scoping review examines how children and young people from culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) migrant backgrounds in Australia experience domestic and family violence (DFV) and how the service system responds to these experiences. The review, based on 19 selected articles, highlights the unique challenges faced by children and young people from CARM backgrounds, including the compounded effects of structural and interpersonal factors that limit help-seeking and exacerbate the impacts of DFV. The findings underscore the importance of intersectional approaches to service delivery that simultaneously support the safety and well-being of both the child and the non-violent parent or carer. This report is a critical resource for understanding and improving service responses to DFV affecting migrant and refugee children in Australia.
