Abstract:  Private Lives 3 (PL3) is Australia's largest national survey of the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ people, conducted by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) at La Trobe University. It provides vital data for health professionals, service providers, community organisations, and governments to better support LGBTIQ populations. The report covers a range of issues, including mental health, housing, homelessness, discrimination, intimate partner and family violence, and substance use. It highlights significant disparities in health outcomes, with many LGBTIQ individuals reporting high levels of psychological distress, experiences of discrimination, and barriers to accessing inclusive services. The findings inform policy, service provision, and advocacy efforts aimed at improving the wellbeing of LGBTIQ communities across Australia.
