This study presents a systematic review and meta-analysis examining the effectiveness of various intervention programs for male perpetrators of intimate partner violence (IPV). Using the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions guidelines, the research synthesises findings from multiple studies assessing batterer intervention programs. Results indicate that, overall, these programs are effective in reducing violence post-intervention, with the strongest outcomes observed in programs incorporating trauma-informed and substance abuse treatment components. The analysis suggests that standard gender-role-based interventions yield mixed results, whereas cognitive behavioural and motivational enhancement therapies show promising effects in addressing IPV perpetration. Findings highlight the need for more rigorous evaluation studies to assess the long-term sustainability of behaviour change among perpetrators.en_US
