This article presents findings from an evaluation of a trial of the Caring Dads program in an Australian jurisdiction. Caring Dads is a non-mandated, group-based intervention for fathers who have been physically and/or emotionally abusive toward their children, their children's mothers, or both. The program aims to engage men around their fathering role and prioritises the safety and well-being of children and their mothers. A mixed-methods self-report questionnaire was administered to fathers (n = 40) and associated mothers (n = 17) at the commencement and conclusion of the program. The findings indicate reductions in fathers' use of domestic and family violence, improvements in mothers’ perceptions of safety, and increased awareness among fathers about abusive behaviours. The article discusses implications for father-focused interventions and the role of victim-survivor voices in evaluating perpetrator and family-focused interventions.en_US
