This study evaluates the effectiveness of a multilevel batterer intervention program designed to reduce domestic violence and other criminal recidivism. The research analyses data from 1995 to 2004, including initial arrest records, program placements, and re-arrest rates for 17,999 individuals. Findings indicate that recidivism rates were significantly lower for participants who completed the intervention programs compared to those who did not. Additionally, the study reports lower re-arrest rates than those typically observed in prior research on batterer recidivism. The study provides guidance for the development of effective countywide batterer intervention programs, emphasising assessment-based intervention strategies to reduce reoffending.en_US
