Notes:  Attempts to assist the implementation of cost-effectiveness analyses of perpetrator treatment programmes by undertaking a cost analysis of four geographically and programmatically diverse batterer programmes. The US study found relatively low economic costs for perpetrator programmes across the four sites of US$22 to US$32 per session. Suggests that data from these analyses can be combined with effectiveness data to perform cost-effectiveness analyses and that such analyses can contribute to resolving the controversy about the provision of programmes for perpetrators, particularly the concern that such programmes divert scarce resources from services for women.
