Notes:  This is in response to the commentaries by Hauser and Campbell with regard to the author’s fictionalised conversation over domestic violence fatality review. The commentators focused on different aspects. Hauser looked at the tensions between the researcher and the battered woman over battered women’s role in fatality review. Campbell looked at the issues raised about risk assessment. The author addresses issues raised in their commentaries.
