Notes: | This journal article responds to an article by Stuart et al. which supports a hypothesis that domestic violence perpetrators who receive brief alcohol-related intervention as well as a 40-hour group batterer program will engage in less frequent and heavy alcohol consumption and less aggressive or violent behaviour. This article endorses the well-known association between drug and/or alcohol misuse and incidents of domestic violence, therefore emphasising the need for improved and increased interventions. |
