In this article, the author sets out a feminist perspective on three types of intimate partner violence, intimate terrorism, violent resistance, and situational couple violence. The author then draws on theory and research to rebut arguments against feminist theory in domestic violence. In both areas, the author comments on problems with research including bias and sample selection.
