Title: Global estimates of homicide risk related to intimate partner violence: authors' reply
Other Titles: The lancet
Authors: Devries, Karen
Stockl, Heidi
Keywords: Homicide;Measurement
Year: 2013
Citation: Vol. 382, no. 9905
Notes:  In response to Pilger and Watts' correspondence on the relationship between intimate partner violence (IPV), intimate partner homicide and world regions of their occurrence, Stockl and Devries concur with their findings; that in most regions, women who experience intimate partner violence are more likely to be victims of intimate partner homicide.

Stockl and Devries suggest that this conclusion strengthens the argument for increased measures to reduce IPV. They also strongly support the efforts of health care providers in risk assessment and safety planning for women experiencing IPV.
