Notes:  General Overview: In this UK article Stanko, the Head of Strategic Research and Analysis Unit, Metropolitan Police Service London, argues that a strategic performance management framework can contribute to any police service’s delivery to domestic violence victims. Domestic violence policing is critical to the reduction of all serious violence and the prevention of lethal violence is the overriding goal of the framework.

The author discusses what is meant by domestic violence and what is meant by performance in the policing of domestic violence. The importance of homicide reviews is outlined and the theory and research underpinning all these issues is discussed at length.
