Notes: | This journal article details the authors’ US research study which hypothesised that domestic violence perpetrators who receive a 90-minute alcohol-related intervention as well as a 40-hour group batterer program will engage in less frequent and heavy alcohol consumption and less aggressive or violent behaviour. The article discusses the well-known association between drug and/or alcohol misuse and incidents of domestic violence, therefore emphasising the need for improved and increased interventions. |
