Notes:	This report outlines a review by Legal Aid NSW of its Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) defendant pilot scheme at Mount Druitt Local Court. The pilot operated for approximately 12 months, from late 2011 until the end of 2012. The report considers data from case files of the 114 defendants who were assisted by the pilot solicitor during the pilot, as well as interviews with stakeholders from Legal Aid NSW, Mount Druitt Local Court, Mount Druitt Police, Women's Legal Services, Western Sydney Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service, The Shed, and Centrelink (Department of Social Services). The report outlines benefits of, and issues with, the pilot. It also makes recommendations, including for a future ADVO defendant pilot.
