Title: Bridging the data gaps for family, domestic and sexual violence, Australia
Authors: Australian Bureau of Statistics
Keywords: Statistics
Year: 2013
Publisher: Australian Bureau of Statistics
Notes:  Efforts to reduce violence against women depend on a robust evidence base, but the collection of data in the domestic and family violence sector is problematic both internationally and in Australia. This resource supports the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children, 2010-2022:by characterising ways to enhance data collection, and thus develop the evidence base for family, domestic and sexual violence in Australia.

To this end, this ABS document:
    * presents a prioritised list of family, domestic and sexual violence policy and research questions that remain unanswered;
    * outlines the information flows through organisations that provide services to those affected by family, domestic and sexual violence;
    * provides advice about the strategies and actions required to address the critical data gaps.
