Notes:	In response to the acknowledged history of sexual harassment and sexual assault of female in-patients in psychiatric hospitals in Victoria, the Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC) carried out a project over a 12 month period which included a survey of female in-patient experiences, focus groups, individual interviews and data analysis. Nine Area Mental Health Services across Victoria were included. Survey data led to the 11 recommendations made in this report.
