* The homicide victimisation rate is at the historic low of 1.2 per 100,00 population during this time span, decreasing from 1.8 per 100,000 in 2007-08
* Of the 185 domestic homicides recorded during this period, 66% were listed as an intimate partner homicide
* Females are overrepresented as victims of intimate partner homicide despite being at a historic low rate of 0.7 per 100,000 in 2008-09
This report is the first biennial collection of data and covers the period from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2010.
