Based on research conducted by the Supported Accommodation Assistance Scheme Data Collection Agency, this report provides an overview of the extent and types of assistance given to clients by the scheme, a typology of client groups and the reasons they seek support, as well as a summary of the overall effectiveness of the scheme in improving client circumstances.

The findings indicate the most common reasons people seek assistance from the scheme are interpersonal relationship issues, particularly domestic or family violence, and relationship and family breakdown. Other common reasons were accommodation and financial issues.
