Notes:  This study examined the development of the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Family Relationship Centre, one of the first Family Relationship Centres created under the 2006 family law legislative amendments. The first chapter of the report presents an overview of the new legislation, polices and services. The second chapter outlines the descriptive design of the study which used a variety of data sources over a three–year period. The final three chapters present the findings from the services provided and client's views and experiences of mediation, along with policy recommendations. While the study was not intended to specifically identify families experiencing domestic and family violence, it was a recurrent theme throughout the study.
