Notes: | This report examines the specific crisis accommodation needs of Muslim women and youth in Western Australia, including the lack of documented evidence on the needs and experiences of Muslims in relation to crisis accommodation and domestic violence. The results of 15 focus groups interviewing 179 participants are summarised. The research examined community knowledge of services, experiences of services, barriers to access, and needs of Muslims in crisis accommodation. Recommendations are provided for policy-makers, service providers and the community. |
