Notes:  Provides a background to the establishment of the Working With Adolescents to Prevent Domestic Violence:project supported under the National Crime Prevention Program and outlines the key principles guiding the project before presenting the methodology and findings of the programme evaluation. Five case studies are used to exemplify the ways in which the programme has assisted in the prevention of domestic violence and the major strengths and limitations of the project are identified. The Gordon Inquiry of 2002, which focused on the development of infrastructure in Indigenous communities to prevent family violence, and the advocacy model for Indigenous family and community violence developed by the project are discussed separately.
