NCP Report No.3
Adolescence can be crucial to the formation of healthy, non-violent relationships later in life. It can be an opportune time to challenge destructive gender relations before they are set in adulthood. Hence working with adolescents can be important in the primary prevention of domestic violence. This report summary is the outcome of Stage One of a project aimed at finding effective ways of working with adolescents to prevent domestic violence. It includes an abridged literature review, analysis of Australian violence prevention programmes and design of a pilot programme. Stage Two will involve piloting of the programme in rural Western Australia.
