Notes:	A collaborative venture of Fanshawe College, The London Coordinating Committee to End Woman Abuse and The University of Western Ontario This project was supported in part through the Small Grants Program of the Centre for Research on Violence Against Women and Children Presents the research design and findings of a tracking project undertaken in Ontario, Canada, aimed at exploring the experiences of five female victims of domestic violence within a rural court system. The introduction provides a background to the project and an overview of participatory action research story-telling as a research methodology. Participants' perceptions of the justice system and their recommendations for change are then examined and the key themes emerging from the study are discussed. A model for integrating court, police and social service responses to domestic violence in rural communities is then proposed and some other 'sites of action' instigated by the research project are presented.
