A summary of the general principles underlying prevention work, in particular work with perpetrators, is provided and economic arguments in favour of preventative programmes are presented. The role of Partnerships Against Domestic Violence in developing State and National collaborative approaches to domestic violence is also discussed. Areas of priority identified by the project included leadership and management, funding and resourcing, education and training, service delivery, community information and education campaigns, development of evaluation and accountability mechanisms and ensuring access to services for men from Indigenous, non-English speaking and/or rural and regional communities. |
