Notes:  Presents the background to, methodology and findings of a community consultation project aimed at identifying the major issues affecting new arrival refugee women in Adelaide and the programmes and services available to them. Interviews with service providers and details of available programmes are provided in the first section of the paper, followed by an overview of the key issues raised in three focus group sessions conducted with refugee women from the Middle East, the Former Yugoslavia and Sudan. The final section of the paper provides a summary of the projects achievements and findings and lists a series of recommendations for future service development.
