Notes: | Co-authored by the Department of Human Services’ Family and Community Support Branch and Community Programs, Housing and Community Building Division, this is the endorsed framework for the future development of Victorian family violence crisis protection services. The Family and Domestic Violence Crisis Protection Framework (FDVCPF) is a key initiative both within the context of the Women’s Safety Strategy and the ways in which homelessness is addressed. Outlines the components of current service responses and identifies the need for change in order to address the inadequate and uneven coverage of the system. Identifies underpinning principles of the Framework, which cover the areas of rights, responses and the role of the community. Discusses the structuring of the service system including a shift to service provision based predominantly on geographic communities and outlines features of the service system. Presents principles for the provision of accommodation and stresses the provision of flexibility in accommodation options. Includes strategies for implementation and evaluation. |
