See our 'Research & Resources' database for entry of 'Best practice model for the provision of programs for perpetrators of domestic violence in Western Australia' 1st ed.
Abstract for 1st ed. - Under the WA Family and Domestic Violence Action Plan, a working party was established to advise the Domestic Violence Prevention Unit on the development of a best practice model. This is a report representing the first attempt in Western Australia to develop a best practice model in anticipation of funding being sought and provided for perpetrator programmes.
Since this report was first published the Domestic Violence Prevention Unit (DVPU) has undertaken additional consultations with some of the key stakeholders. Subsequently, DPVU has modified some sections of the document to reflect feedback received. In particular the previous edition with a section on Guiding Principles, has been further developed to incorporate Essential Principles, similar to those developed for the Best Practice Model for Victim Services.
