This is the Final Report on the research funded by Partnerships Against Domestic Violence, which examined the needs of men, women and young people experiencing domestic violence in South Australia. The study collected qualitative data using a multi method approach including phone-ins, focus groups, interviews with service providers to marginalised groups and networking with various communities. Findings suggest it is time to review domestic violence theories and intervention in the light of new knowledge and current challenges identified by this research. New approaches are needed which respond effectively to the needs of children and young people and people from many marginalised groups.
