Notes:  This document reports on a conference organised by Women's Health West (WHW) and three primary care partnerships (PCPs) in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne. A study by VicHealth in 2005 found that intimate partner (domestic) violence was prevalent, serious and preventable. Following this study, VicHealth used a mental health framework to develop a public health model for the prevention of violence against women. The aims of the conference were to:

* to consult with member agencies of the PCPs about health promotion actions they would like included in each of the PCPs Integrated Health Promotion Plans for 2006-2009.
