Notes: | The result of consultation conducted by the National Group to Address Violence Against Women with various government and non-government agencies throughout Scotland, this report presents the context, aims, resource requirements, evaluation structures and specific directions for action of a National Training Strategy developed by the working group. The strategy promotes a review of domestic abuse training within all relevant public sector agencies, the development of interagency protocols for coordination of training and service provision and the mainstreaming of training in domestic violence for professional qualification. The appendix includes a detailed statement of the action plan, an outline of plans to appoint national coordinators, a summary of specific training issues arising in different public service sectors and a list of training materials currently used by a range of agencies. |
