Reports on the outcomes of the NESB Older Women and Abuse Project, which was aimed at raising community awareness and providing training about issues of abuse and NESB older women. The Project comprised four phases: preparation, consultation, implementation, and documentation and evaluation. The five ethnic groups identified in the study are the Turkish, Filipino, Vietnamese, Samoan and Korean communities. Most of the findings derived from focus group consultations with older women and government and non-government service providers. The research identifies the particular needs of this group and the deficiencies in the services, and suggests some pertinent recommendations.
