Notes:	Provides a summary of the Child Death Review Team (CDRT) findings concerning deaths of 616 children from July 2001 to June 2002. Twenty-one case reviews were conducted by the CDRT, where the death was due to physical abuse and neglect. The report identifies that the children’s households were characterised by a parental history of drug and/or alcohol abuse, domestic violence, criminal activity, relationship difficulties and mental health problems. Recommendations for further action are stated in addition to an update on the implementation of recommendations made by previous CDRT reports.
