These standards were developed within a framework in which the primary goal was to ensure that the practice of government-funded domestic violence perpetrator programmes was safe, responsible and appropriate to addressing domestic violence. States that future funding of programmes will be dependent on compliance with these standards. Outlines the aim, philosophy and principles underpinning the standards. The standards encompass the areas of programme staff; accountability; and planning and evaluation.
