Notes:	Describes the Safe Living in Aboriginal Communities project which was undertaken using a community development approach that aimed to identify relevant and meaningful approaches to minimise family violence through a process of exploration and community problem solving. It focussed on how the Family Well Being programme can respond to issues of family violence, and the changes needed in local services. The Family Well Being Course is a holistic educational awareness programme developed by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal communities. One of the key lessons from the Safe Living in Aboriginal Communities project was the interconnectedness of the issues that shape family violence, and the ways in which the effectiveness of the Family Well Being programme could be amplified as part of an integrated approach. A model for such an integrated approach for South Australia is presented.
