Documents the main elements of the development and implementation of the ‘Be cool… not cruel’ Community Education Campaign. The 'Be cool… not cruel' initiative aimed to develop and pilot a community education campaign for young people in the Northern Territory, funded under the Partnerships Against Domestic Violence initiative. Documents the processes as a guide and best practice model for those considering a similar programme. Includes results of a focus group of Indigenous adults and young people aged 15-18 where the survey questions were altered to be culturally and linguistically appropriate. It found that 100% of indigenous adults and young people agreed that domestic violence was a crime and had heard about the campaign development; development of the campaign including the pre-testing concepts and products; the campaign launch; monitoring an evaluation of the Crisis Chat Line; issues and challenges; and evaluation and results of the campaign.
