Notes:  This report presents the results of a survey of a sample of women and men granted Apprehended Violence Orders (AVO’s) by Local Courts in Sydney. Survey respondents were interviewed when the order was first granted and one month after the order was served on the defendant. Further subsamples were interviewed, three and six months after the order was served.
