Notes:  During 1996-1997, the New Zealand Government, through the Community Funding Agency, funded six programmes to provide specialist services to child victims and witnesses of domestic violence. Three of these programmes were group programmes and three provided individual counselling. Includes research, evaluation and analysis of the process and outcomes of the programmes. Concludes that providing intervention for children who have experienced and witnessed domestic violence is essential to breaking the intergenerational domestic violence cycle.
