Notes:  This report succeeds and finalises a series of five reports commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) on Indigenous homelessness in regional Australia. The previous reports are:
* Cultural Argument Report - makes the case for looking at Indigenous homelessness differently from mainstream Australia’s homelessness scenario, taking into account the different cultural features which affect the design of services.
* Homeless Centre Report - looks at Jimaylya Topsy Harry Centre in Mt Isa, Queensland.
* Women’s Refuge Report - profiles Women’s Refuge in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.
* Gascoyne Report - presents a comparative study of cross-agency approaches in the three towns of Geraldton, Carnarvon, and Meekatharra in the Mid-west Region of Western Australia.
This final report reviews the previous five and presents the overall findings of the project. In discussing the Indigenous experience of homelessness, these reports take account of family violence as part of a lifestyle pattern and a driving feature of Aboriginal homelessness.
